The CLEAN GIRL MAKEUP VIBE IS ALIVE AND WELL, and I am doing it every single day at the moment... SO GOOD and love, love. Being a beauty therapist, I can prep your face expertly with high-end professional skin care even before we get the makeup on.. for that exact look.
I’ve written a bit of waffle about things wedding and makeup-wise below….
Hi there! I wanted to write something from the heart that truly reflects what I bring to a wedding. I am also a bit older (57). The hairdresser I work with predominantly is also in her 50s and has been hairdressing since she was 17… So we bring a massive skill set..
I have recently returned from London/Edinburgh and did some training with Charlotte Tilbury and Laura Mercier. Also, a Moroccan wedding which was a 3-day festival and I am super proud of being a part of that.
I have brought back all the 2026 makeup palettes that are not yet available in NZ. My makeup obsession is real :)
I genuinely believe I not only bring my makeup and hair skills to a wedding, but also life skills; I am a mother as well, so I bring people wrangling, humour, advice, and a general feel-good vibe. I have been in many different situations with over 2000 weddings completed, and nothing surprises me! With a background in events, I also know how to run operations smoothly and professionally, ensuring everything is completed on time.
I’m a people person and I cannot express enough how much joy I get from being part of weddings, elopements, and small ceremonies. I love seeing families and friends come together; the excitement, the joy, the nerves, and the heartfelt nods to those who are absent. All of this on the morning of the event is something I get to witness and be a part of.
I have cried, laughed, given away my own clothes, driven people to their weddings, lent my car, and even stepped in as the photographer (it was a dire emergency, and I promise no one's head was cut off!). I am not just a makeup artist; I have an events background that allows me to notice the small details of the day and help if something needs to be done. I’ve sewn brides into their dresses, cooked breakfast for some party-loving groomsmen, and on one occasion, a bride called me when they ran out of wine!
My reviews highlight this aspect of what I bring to your wedding! I have two children, ages 23 and 21, who have taught me so much, especially patience, and how to be present and engaged in the moments happening around me. I can guarantee you that I will bring the same spirit to your special day. More HERE.

We care for you and your important people too; Mums, Aunts, MCs, Sisters, guests. We make sure everyone feels special. Please ask how we can help.

Having a trial is purely personal preference. But I do thoroughly recommend them, purely for the fact that if you are indecisive or are unsure of the look you want to achieve, a trial is the perfect opportunity to work through this with both the Hairstylist and the Makeup Artist. Sending us images or starting a Pinterest Board is a great tool to show us what you like. We won’t do a trial until closer to the date of your event. It is more relevant.

Again, this is personal preference, but we find a trial is most relevant closer to the time of your event. For example if we met you in Winter and you were having a Summer occasion, your hair may be longer/ lighter/ shorter. Also skin tones, you may be tanned/paler. We are happy to fit in when suits you but we find the 2/3 weeks prior is sufficient.

TRIALS
Just come as you are – a light moisturised face is fine. Please don’t wear any makeup. If possible, wear or bring with you lighter coloured clothes, preferably a similar tone to your wedding gown. Avoid wearing black.
Feel free to bring any pictures or photos of looks that appeal to you.

Absolutely! I can recommend some fantastic places for nail care and provide valuable advice on dermaplaning, facials, various treatments, and brow shaping—everything you need to enhance your beauty routine.
Let's plan ahead to ensure your entire look is stunning in photos!
Always use SPF and stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water. Wanaka is very dry, and I often notice that clients arrive with dry lips, especially after a flight. Keep lip balm with you at all times, and consider using a lip mask at night for extra moisture. :)
