MAKEUP FAQ’s AND ADVICE

  • I am not brand specific to one cosmetic house, I truly believe each brand has its relevant strengths. I am also into clean and vegan brands.

So I have in my kit for example; Kosas, Laura Mercier, MAC lipsticks (always need Velvet Teddy and Teddy 2.0), Urban Decay eye palettes (great lasting pigmented colours), Esteé Lauder foundations (go the distance, correct and conceal superbly), Hourglass ambient palettes (the bomb!), Kevin Aucoin mascaras (no drop down or smudge), Charlotte Tilbury, Jones Road, Bobbi Brown, Clinique, Benefit (Brows!!) - to name but a few.  It just means you get the best of everything there is to have.

  • Bridal, Glam, On Camera, High Definition, Natural, Dewy & Glowy, Stage Makeup, Fancy Dress, Face Painting!!

I am the on call Hair & Makeup Artist for Woman’s Day, New Idea and other publications in this region.

Pretty much everything, except prosthetics. I can’t stick on a nose or ears. I can double tape eyes, apply lashes (top & bottom),cover hooded eyes, cover scarring and tattoos, contouring, highlighting and makeup that lasts. I have the skill base and techniques that we often have to call on.

I also am constantly up-skilling and doing professional development. I work in with other Makeup Artists nationally and internationally - we discuss on trend makeup looks, share tips and ideas.

  • Super super super important always and absolutely paramount at the time we find our selves in currently.

I wouldn’t expect you to wear a mask whilst having makeup done.

I will endeavour to wear one though. I use disposables where I can. All tools/brushes etc are cleaned between clients and being used.

I have a steriliser in my salon which is used almost constantly, all products are decanted onto a stainless board where they can be and are sprayed with isopropyl alcohol after use.

If you have any contra-indications such as a cold sore/stye in eye etc. Please make us aware of this prior.

  • This is a new service I am looking to provide clients with. Often people want the colour I have used on them when doing their makeup - to keep for the day. So they are able to top up and keep the lip colour fresh and consistent for photos throughout the day/event.

Please tell me if this is something you would like to explore.

  • Yes absolutely.
